Folding analysis for thick origami with kinematic frame models concerning gravity

چکیده

Thickness and gravity are both the significant problems challenges for origami structures in field of building construction. This paper described a numerical folding analysis method to investigate kinematic characteristics thick using movable frame structural models driven by external forces. The numeric methodology is based on generalized inverse theory. Therefore, morphing modes paths can be obtained environment through introducing nodal forces directly. A general modeling approach proposed establish frames. To demonstrate method, single-DOF multi-DOF examples investigated. procedures under forces, rigid motion discussed. presented shows feasibility analyzing process origami, which help assess practical rapid construction tasks future.
